The short version

This website does not set a single cookie. It does not run an analytics script, an advertising pixel, a session recorder, a chat widget or an embedded font from someone else’s server. Nothing you do here is sent anywhere unless you type your email address into a form and press the button.

That is why there is no cookie banner. A banner would be a worse experience and there is nothing for you to consent to.

What is stored in your browser

One thing. If you use the light/dark toggle in the header, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key rh-theme so the page doesn’t flash the wrong colour next time. It never leaves your device, it isn’t a cookie, and clearing your browser data removes it.

What we collect if you use a form

If you join the list or reserve a set, we receive: the email address you typed, which form you used, which product and configuration you chose, the engraving text you entered if any, the time you submitted it, the country your connection came from, and — if you arrived from one of our adverts — which advert, read from the address bar. That’s the whole record.

We use it for one thing: emailing you about the guides and about this product. You’ll get one email first asking you to confirm the address is yours, and nothing else arrives until you click it. If you never click it, the whole record is deleted after 30 days. Every email has a working unsubscribe link and we don’t make you log in to use it.

Who else sees it

Nobody, beyond the email provider we use to actually send the emails, which acts on our instructions and cannot use your address for anything else. We do not sell, rent, swap or “share with carefully selected partners” anything at all. We do not run advertising that targets you personally.

Analytics

There is none. We currently have no idea how many people visit this site, which is inconvenient for us and irrelevant to you. If we add analytics it will be a cookieless one, and this section will say which.

How long we keep things

Email addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and we clear out addresses that have never opened anything after two years. Order records, once orders exist, are kept for six years because HMRC requires it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that’s wrong;
• delete it;
• stop using it for marketing, which you can also do by clicking unsubscribe.

Email [email protected] and we’ll do it within a month, usually the same week. You don’t need to give a reason and we won’t try to talk you out of it. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Who we are

Redd Home is a new business and the company is not registered yet. We’re not going to print a company number you can’t look up.
